Colon conundrums!

I believe there may be an error in this worksheet. The use of the colon in sentence 3 is incorrect as the clause before the colon needs to be independent and complete e.g. 'the recipe called for:' clearly doesn't make sense and therefore shouldn't have a colon. Perhaps the instruction at the top could be amended to say that additional words may need to be added.
