Empathising with a character: Kensuke's Kingdom

A PowerPoint presentation on empathy based on the text of Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.

This presentation encourages the class, or a guided reading group, to think about how the author has described Michael's feelings. The thoughts and feelings of Kensuke are then discussed to provide a contrast. Children record their ideas about the characters' feelings using thought bubbles.
