This PowerPoint compares the geography of modern Britain with that of the Stone Age. Children learn how Britain was once connected to Ireland and mainland Europe, allowing the first humans to arrive on foot. They then learn how melting ice caps flooded the land and turned Britain into an island.

This resource is ideal for KS2 looking at changes in Britain.
