What food was rationed during WWII and why?

Children answer questions to show what they already know about rationing in World War Two, what they think they know, and what they would like to find out. They go on to consider the food they eat today at home, and compare this with the types of food that would have been available in Britain in the 1940s. Requires access to the internet and/or reference books that cover rationing.
