A pack of KS2 guided reading activities based on the popular book Bill's New Frock by Anne Fine. Activities include researching the author, discussing gender stereotyping, quick-fire reading comprehension questions and analysing the characters' behaviour. GPS (SPaG) tasks are also included. Activities and questions correspond to different chapters in the book.

Great for supporting reading comprehension in year 3 and year 4, and for starting conversations about gender.

Sample questions from the resource:

How do the girls and boys in your class behave differently?

People seem to be behaving differently towards Bill now he’s a girl.  Draw a picture of each person and label it.  Beside your picture write down how they behave towards Bill.
