An activity for children to practise where to place the inverted commas when writing direct speech. They act out a simple script, then cut out the lines of dialogue and add inverted commas in the correct places. They also add verbs and names to form reporting clauses, then write out the script as a narrative.

Ideal for Y3 and Y4.
