Cross-curricular writing – poetry

A set of teaching tips and ideas to create poetry through other subject areas. Ideas include creating rhyming couplets to help remember times tables, writing kennings about historical artefacts, and filling in the outline of a famous painting with figurative language.

The ideas in this resource can be used in KS1 and KS2.
