James and the Giant Peach
A reading comprehension activity based on the book Katie Morag and the Two Grandmothers by Mairi Hedderwick. Children read the two different descriptions of the grandmothers, then cut and glue each statement under the correct heading into their books. The children can then draw each granny to show their differences. Children use their skills of information retrieval and simple inference and deduction to make their decisions. This resource is suitable for KS1.
