Beginning sounds bjps

For this activity, children read each of the words and circle the initial phonic sounds. They then sort the words into the different jars: a jar of 'j', a bag of 'b', a sack of 's' and a pan of 'p'. An extension activity asks children to create a cup of 'c' and a glass of 'g'. This resource is from A&C Black's 'Developings' series.
