Welcome to the Flying Fergus Summer Challenge

To mark the beginning of summer and the end of exams (hooray!), Sir Chris Hoy and the Flying Fergus team have put together a fun-filled, action-packed series of lessons to prepare your KS1 and KS2 pupils for the Flying Fergus Summer Challenge.

The Flying Fergus Summer Challenge is an exercise-based challenge to be completed over the six-week holiday, also incorporating various learning ’pit stops’ linked primarily to the English curriculum. Not only will it keep kids active, it will also get them reading and learning over the break!

To start the Challenge and to be in with the chance of winning a school visit from Sir Chris Hoy himself, simply download the resources below and sign up today.

Resource pack for teachers

The Teachers’ Pack includes five lessons to be completed by the end of summer term, meaning pupils are prepared to complete the Summer Challenge over the break.

Summer pack for kids

Full of fun and adventure, this Summer Pack for Kids is all your pupils need to complete the Flying Fergus Summer Challenge during the holiday.

Notes for parents

These notes give parents a quick and easy summary of the Flying Fergus Summer Challenge and offer tips for how to support their children to get on their bikes!

Don’t forget to send all of your Flying Fergus Summer Challenge work and final Pedal Power total to flyingfergus@piccadillypress.co.uk by Friday 8th September. We wish you the best of luck!
