A poetry activity based on a traditional African poem about a leopard written by the Yoruba tribe. Children explore poetic techniques such as oxymorons, personification and connotation, then go on to create their own poem which uses one or more of these techniques.
Includes worksheets, detailed teaching notes and an accompanying PowerPoint. Suitable for Y5 and Y6.
