This excellent resource asks children to evaulate different sources of evidence about Henry VIII as a young man. Children consider what they can learn from a painting of Henry VIII, and what the painting cannot tell them. They read a description written about Henry by a diplomat, and decide which aspects of it are reliable. Finally they rank the reliability of a range of different sources of evidence.
Ideal for getting KS2 children to think about how we construct our knowledge of the past.
